1.2 This Privacy Policy Statement is prepared in accordance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486). 

1.3 If you choose to use our Service, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation with this policy. The Personal Information that we collect are used for providing and improving the Service. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.

 

2. Collection and Use of Personal Data

2.1 For a better experience while using our Service, we may require you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information, including but not limited to your name, phone number, and postal address. The information that we collect will be used to contact or identify you.

2.2 Personal data of the patient (“you” or “your”) collected by Virtus Medical Holdings Limited and its associated companies (collectively “we”, “us”, or “our”) may be used for any of the following purposes or for any other purpose which you may from time to time agree.

1. a) verification of your identity
2. b) providing you with suitable medical treatment and/or related service
3. c) processing billing and payment from you and/or your insurer
4. d) collecting any outstanding amount from you
5. e) handling and following up enquiries/complaints made by you
6. f) provide you with updates and other information about the services, products and activities of marketing of services and/or products
7. g) meeting the requirements to make disclosure under any applicable law
8. h) fulfilling any other purposes relating thereto

 

3. Disclosure of Your Personal Data

3.1 We will keep your personal data confidential and will not disclose your personal data to any third party without your consent, except as is required by law. However, your personal data held by us in its original form, hardcopy and/or electronic form, may be disclosed to any of the following parties (whether within or outside Hong Kong) where such disclosure is necessary to satisfy any of the above purposes.

1. a) any medical centres operated by any of us and staff (including but not limited to nurses, doctors, pharmacists and other health care professionals) who provide services to you at such medical centres
2. b) any agents, contractors or third-party service providers if we need their services (such as clinical laboratory or technical services) in connection with services provided to you

• To facilitate our Service;
• To provide the Service on our behalf;
• To perform Service-related services; or
• To assist us in analyzing how our Service is used.

1. c) Any doctors/healthcare professionals to whom you are referred to or by (in the case of referrals)

3.2 These third parties have access to your personal data aim to perform the tasks assigned to them on our behalf. However, they are obligated not to disclose or use the information for any other purpose.

4.1 We want to inform you that whenever you visit our Service, we collect information that your browser sends to us that is called Log Data. 10.1 In accordance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486, Laws of Hong Kong) (“Ordinance”), you have the right of access and correction with respect to personal data held by us, or to opt out from receiving any direct marketing materials from us. Your rights of access include the rights to obtain a copy of your personal data provided by you or related to you.  Such request should be made by calling our Customer Service Hotline at 8201 8833.  In accordance with the Ordinance, we are entitled to charge you a reasonable fee for processing any data access request.

 

11. Language

11.1 This Statement is prepared in English with Chinese translation. In the event of any discrepancy between the two aforementioned versions, the English version prevails.
